What Can I Do With TalentPass Right Now?

What Can I Do With TalentPass Right Now?

(Current Capabilities vs. Coming Soon)**

TalentPass is growing quickly — but not every feature is available yet. This FAQ breaks down exactly what you can do today in the current release, what’s coming soon, and what to expect as we continue building the full ecosystem.

If you’re starting TalentPass for the first time, or if you’re wondering “What can I actually DO with this right now?” — this is your guide.

What You Can Do Today (Live at Launch)

Even in the initial release, TalentPass already gives you a powerful toolkit for understanding your abilities, organizing your achievements, and standing out in a job search or networking setting.

Here’s what’s fully available right now:

1. Build Your Profile Using Guided Conversations

The Build a Professional Profile conversation helps you:

  • add experiences from work, school, volunteering, or personal life
  • describe what happened
  • identify the skills you used
  • capture the results or impact
  • add evidence when you have it
  • refine your story with helpful prompts

This is the core of TalentPass — and it’s live today.

2. Add Evidence to Your Experiences

You can attach evidence to strengthen any story or credential, including:

  • photos
  • PDFs
  • screenshots
  • documents
  • links
  • images of certificates
  • images of paper credentials
  • images of non-OpenBadges digital certificates

Evidence is one of the most important parts of your TalentPass, and you can add it right away.

(Note: We will have a full FAQ dedicated to all the types of evidence you can upload and how to use them.)

3. Generate a Resume With a QR Code

This is one of the most popular features.

TalentPass allows you to:

  • create a clean, professional resume
  • include a tailored personal summary
  • export multiple versions
  • include a dynamic QR code linking to your TalentPass
  • use your resume for any job application today

And because the resume pulls from structured stories, it reads more clearly and more powerfully than a typical template.

4. Tailor Your Resume to Any Job Description

Inside Build a Professional Profile, TalentPass will naturally ask:

“Would you like to tailor your profile or resume for a specific job?”

You paste the job description text into the conversation, and the system will:

  • interpret the posting
  • ask follow-up questions
  • surface relevant skills
  • map your stories to the job
  • create a custom resume version
  • help you strengthen missing areas

This is fully live now.

5. Share Your TalentPass Profile Link for Networking

Even if you’re not job hunting, you can:

  • add your TalentPass link to your email signature
  • share it after meeting someone
  • include it in LinkedIn’s “Featured” section
  • message it to mentors or advisors
  • use it during informational interviews

Your TalentPass helps people understand your abilities faster and more clearly than a traditional resume.

6. Claim Certain Digital Credentials (Mobile Only)

On mobile, TalentPass already supports QR-based claiming for:

  • Open Badges 3.0 credentials
  • certain QR-enabled credentials issued by education/training programs
  • early issuing partners in pilot programs

This feature is not available on desktop yet — users will need to upload evidence manually until full parity is released.

We will cover this in detail in the credential-claiming FAQ series.

What’s Coming Soon (Not Live Yet)

These features are actively being developed, tested, or integrated, and will roll out over the next waves of releases.
We will NEVER claim something is live unless it’s actually available.

Here’s what you can expect next:

1. Passport Pages (For Employers, Agencies, Schools) – Not Live Yet

This is the biggest upcoming feature.

Passport Pages will allow organizations to:

  • verify credentials
  • recommend opportunities
  • provide feedback or guidance
  • connect job seekers to services
  • request information with your permission
  • integrate with state and workforce systems

Passport Pages will transform TalentPass into a true connection hub — but they are not activated yet.

2. NLX Job Search + Opportunity Matching – Not Live Yet

TalentPass will soon integrate with the National Labor Exchange (NLX) so users can:

  • browse jobs inside TalentPass
  • save roles
  • tailor resumes instantly
  • view job-to-skill alignment
  • explore opportunities based on their Talent Tree

This is not available yet, but the integration work is underway.

3. Direct Imports From Platforms Like Credly or Credible – Not Live Yet

Right now:

  • you can upload Credly-based credentials as evidence (with steps we’ll outline in a later FAQ)
  • but you cannot directly import from Credly or Credible yet

We’re in active discussions with those platforms to enable direct pathways.

4. Credential Claiming on Desktop – Not Live Yet

Desktop users currently need to:

  • upload images
  • upload PDFs
  • link to credential pages
  • or add the credential as an experience with evidence

Mobile users get QR-based claiming until desktop support is added.

5. Increased Pythia Conversations (Career Exploration, Skill Pathways)

New guided experiences will include:

  • discovering roles that match your profile
  • understanding what skills you’re close to mastering
  • exploring future pathways
  • receiving structured guidance from partners
  • planning your next steps

These will roll out gradually.

Why It Matters to Know What’s Live vs. Coming Soon

Because TalentPass is in an early release, we want users to have:

  • realistic expectations
  • clarity about what is available today
  • transparency about what is still in development
  • confidence that requests translate to improvements
  • a sense that their feedback shapes the future of the platform

As you use the app, you are helping us shape:

  • integrations
  • conversations
  • credential pathways
  • matching logic
  • partner relationships
  • future release priorities

Your experience — especially right now — matters.

If You Get Stuck, Tell Us. We Actually Read It.

Most apps say this, but with TalentPass it’s literally true:

Your feedback goes directly to the founders and lead engineers.

We use it to:

  • fix early friction
  • improve the UX
  • clarify confusing steps
  • prioritize new features
  • guide conversations
  • strengthen the onboarding experience

If something doesn’t work the way you expected — tell us.
It helps everyone.

Final Takeaway

Here’s the short version:

You can absolutely use TalentPass right now

—to build your profile, tailor resumes, and prepare for opportunities.

Some of the biggest features are still coming

—including Passport Pages, job search, and full credential integrations.

Everything you build today will carry forward

—to support matching, pathways, and verification in the future.

You are early — and that means your voice has real influence.
