Recruiting guide

Test one recruiting workflow before expanding it.

Measure the usefulness of the workflow instead of assuming that more profile data means better hiring.

A recruiting pilot should answer a specific question. Can a clearer role brief and a guided candidate profile make review more useful? Does the process reduce repeated explanation? Does it ask a reasonable amount of the candidate? Define those questions before choosing the technology.

Select a manageable scope.

Choose one role or a small group of similar roles with an engaged hiring manager. Identify the point in the process that needs improvement. A pilot focused on interview preparation should not quietly expand into sourcing, selection, and onboarding at the same time.

Record a baseline.

Describe the current workflow and measure what you can observe. Include recruiter review time, repeated clarification, candidate effort, and whether hiring managers can find relevant evidence. Record the conditions: role complexity, application volume, and who participates.

QuestionPossible measure
Is review easier?Time to prepare an informed interview and number of repeated clarification requests
Is the evidence more useful?Coverage of agreed requirements and unresolved questions after review
Is the effort proportionate?Candidate completion time, abandonment, access issues, and feedback
Does the handoff work?Whether intended reviewers can access and interpret the approved record

Include candidate experience in the result.

A workflow that saves the recruiter time by adding substantial applicant effort may not be a good improvement. Ask whether candidates understood the request, could correct their profile, and received something reusable. Check who encountered barriers and what alternatives were needed.

Interpret the findings carefully.

Small pilots provide learning, not a universal return-on-investment claim. Hiring outcomes take time and reflect many influences. Separate directly observed workflow changes from estimates or early impressions. If you calculate a time-saving estimate, show the baseline, participants, and assumptions.

Choose the next commitment.

At the review point, decide whether to refine the questions, change the handoff, expand the scope, or stop. Name an owner for each next step. Confirm software availability and development requirements before promising broader use.

Bring Gobekli one role, your current process, and the improvement you want to test. Together we can define the available support, a useful scope, and how to judge the result.

Bring one recruiting question.
