ABOUT GOBEKLI / MARKET POSITION
Make trusted records useful in the decisions and relationships that follow issuance.
TalentPass provides the personal record and context side; TalentSync is designed to give organizations a native wallet and a workspace for requests, review, and record use. Passport Pages connect the selected purpose to contributions, permissions, evidence, and return.
A credential establishes a claim from an issuer. A hiring manager, advisor, or project leader still needs to determine its relevance to this purpose, the additional evidence needed, and what should happen after it is used.
Enterprise and institutional exchanges are a primary launch path. The product direction is reusable SaaS configurations that employers, consultants, and smaller issuers can adopt without commissioning a new exchange each time.
Wallets and credential networks already support individual control, portability, issuance, and verification. Gobekli overlaps in holding, requesting, presenting, and reviewing records. Its proposed distinction is contextual use and continuing outcomes across personal and organizational relationships.
A supported data format is not proof of end-to-end interoperability. Confirm wallet, issuer, verifier, exchange protocol, identity mapping, and status behavior. Reviewed evidence is not automatically a verified credential. A holder’s permission does not remove the recipient’s responsibilities for retained records.
These are proposed configurations based on public product descriptions. Named providers are not presented as partners, and a listed exchange is not a claim of an available connector.
| Platform or infrastructure | Its established contribution | Proposed Gobekli contribution | Lightest useful configuration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Velocity Network | Infrastructure for issuing, sharing, and verifying personal credentials | Connect trusted claims to an organizational use case and contextual review | One presented-record review; network operations stay with the provider |
| Credly by Pearson | Digital credential issuance, recognition, and sharing | Connect a badge to relevant experience and evidence of application | One credential-to-role review |
| Accredible | Digital certificates, badges, and credential management | Gather contextual evidence for an agreed downstream decision | One presentation and outcome-return exchange |
| Trinsic | Access to digital identity verification through its network and API | Keep identity verification separate from capability interpretation | A scoped identity check supporting an evidence exchange |
The issuer remains authoritative for its claim. Gobekli adds contextual intelligence around the record so people and organizations can use it responsibly.
| Trust question | Credential infrastructure can establish | Gobekli can connect |
|---|---|---|
| Who made the claim? | Issuer identity and authorship, according to the credential and its securing mechanism. | The relationship in which the claim is being considered and why it matters there. |
| Has the record been altered? | Tamper evidence and proof verification. | Related Stories, activities, evidence, roles, and endorsements—kept distinct from the issuer’s claim. |
| Is it current? | Validity period and status or revocation checks when the credential and ecosystem support them. | Later application, continuing development, recent evidence, and changes in direction. |
| What did the issuer assert? | Claims, criteria, achievement, subject, and evidence included by the issuer. | How the holder explains its relevance without rewriting the authoritative record. |
| Is it fit for this purpose? | A verifier applies its own policy and business rules; this judgment is outside the data model itself. | Purpose-specific questions, participant review, organizational need, and comparable contextual evidence. |
| What happened after it was used? | Usually outside the credential transaction. | Decision, application, feedback, recognition, development, and outcomes returned to the continuing relationship. |
TalentPass can connect formal records with a person’s Stories, activities, evidence, interests, direction, and purpose-specific Profiles. It preserves personal continuity across institutions and opportunities.
TalentSync can give an organization a native place to define what it needs, request relevant information, review records alongside contextual evidence, and connect the decision to later outcomes.
Passport Pages create a bounded exchange for a job, project, program, service, membership, license, or other relationship—without turning one universal profile into the answer for every purpose.
| Configuration | Gobekli scope | What stays with the customer or partner |
|---|---|---|
| Primary organizational workspace | TalentPass provides the personal record and context side; TalentSync is designed to give organizations a native wallet and a workspace for requests, review, and record use. Passport Pages connect the selected purpose to contributions, permissions, evidence, and return. | Authoritative records, specialized execution, and institutional decision rights |
| Companion to an existing platform | Selected Profiles and participant review around an agreed workflow or decision | The partner’s primary product, data responsibilities, and customer experience |
| Focused Passport Page exchange | One request, evidence review, approved response, or authorized recognition flow | The broader operating workflow and any existing system of record |
Organization size does not determine the configuration. Enterprise collaboration guides design and launch; commercial off-the-shelf SaaS is the product direction for leaders and smaller teams to configure these capabilities themselves.
An employer needs to review a credential for a particular assignment. A Passport Page requests the relevant record and evidence of application. The configured verifier checks the credential; a named reviewer assesses relevance. The employer records its decision without rewriting the issuer’s claim. Later performance may support new recognition through an authorized issuing flow.
The commercial test is whether this exchange improves a real decision or outcome enough to justify integration and review effort. A partner can retain its specialized product while testing better contextual evidence and a useful return to participants.
| Pilot question | Measure |
|---|---|
| Does the exchange help? | Time to a completed record review |
| Does review change the result? | Repeated requests avoided |
| Is participation worth the effort? | Verifier failures and reviewer disagreements resolved |
| Does value continue after the transaction? | Presented records used in an actual decision |
Agree a baseline, review period, named decision owner, and stop-or-expand criteria. Record corrections and disagreements, not just successful exchanges. These are proposed measures, not reported customer results.
Define the purpose, participants, identity mapping, sources, permitted recipients, available interfaces, reviewer or issuer, retention, correction path, and the outcome returned. Product capability and implementation support must be confirmed for the selected deployment.
